Cold wet rain and 34d. this morning. Expect to do little turning work today altho I did get a nice finial out of a piece of walnut. Will apply to some other bobble.
Need to get some pics of my "cheap face plates" for posting on the AAW web site. Using modern construction beams and recessing a steel nut into the multi-ply makes good sense and is cheap.

Need to makes some appointments and take care of some other personal business this morning.
Must tell Cheryl about the salad receipt that B wants. Not sure where that is stored.
Turned a beautiful shallow bowl the other day and need to take some pics and post them. Jon walked in last night and said it was ash. I assumed it was white oak since it came off a log I cut- -- but I could be wrong. (Would not be the first time!)
Submitted an article on cheap faceplates to the AAW website yesterday. By using a commercially available steel nut and imbedding it in a construction multi-ply about 2 in thick using epoxy, you can then create many faceplates of different sizes, all of which have the correct size threads for your lathe.
