Up early, 0430, with back muscle spasms. Ouch!
Yesterday's big event was the Sporting Clays crowd of 5 guys, John being the new guy. He did well with some unconventional style points. Not at all bad 21 for a beginner. Cold and windy out there and some shots were funny as the birds would get tossed high and low by wind currents. Such is life in the outdoors. Pic is of a 14 in red ash platter I did recently. Gave it to CL for Christmas. She will put it to good use in SFO.

Oh, its a bit chilly this morning - -30d. Going shooting sporting clays with 5 friends, including a new shooter, John, and the return of one ole boy who has been absent for a year - -. Hope he is back to normal.
Been turning wood like a madman. Mostly small stuff to get used to the tools again. Couple nice finials and some small boxes of walnut. Amazing figure and color. Wood from Jon's gunstock scrap pile. Amazing stuff.
Time to run for the car. P.
